Myanmar Pro-democracy Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi visited Mandalay, Central Myanmar on last Saturday, March.3, 2012 as her campaigning trip for coming By-election. Suu Kyi consulted with a doctor at a large campaign rally after telling the crowd that she felt unwell and dizzy. Many Thousands of Mandalay people welcomed Daw Aung San Suu Kyi by waving flags of the National League for Democracy Party.

ReplyDeleteDear Daw Su Kyi, We need social economic equality in Burma--that means equal access to income, equal access to education, equal access to jobs--and not just the rich and the celebrities can afford it but those in the middle income, those in the low income, those who are ethnic minorities in Burma. Also, to be able to reach USA LEVEL of richness, USA claims and prides itself on equal opportunity yet the life expectancy in USA rank 30th and behind Burma. If Burma is going to reach USA level democracy, Burma is going to perish because the POPULATION IN BURMA is only the size of 10 states population in USA and USA is made up of 50 states and trillion trillion of US dollars spent on health care technology but USA people health are not getting better. Burma has small population and if Burma adopts democracy like USA, all middle incomes, low incomes and ethnic minority will going to die, perish in suffering death. Sweeden, Aussie, and Iceland have better Democracy and better life expectancy than USA does--per WHO in Myanmar and WHO in USA. Dear Daw Su Kyi, we hope that Myanmar do not adopt democracy like USA for the sake of Burmese citizens who are middle income, low income and who need equal access and opportunity to income, jobs, and education. Please help Myanmar. May Myanmar citizens live happy and prosperous!
ReplyDeleteOnly the rich have access to Myanmar International schools--schools that teach Bilingual. Ethnic Minorities--Chinese in Burma, Kachin, Kayin, Kayah, Mon, Rahkhine, Shan--they need equal access to income, job, opportunity, and education--so not only the celebrities, not only the rich can afford it but also mid and low income can afford it so that social economic inequality gap even though still exist may become smaller each day and people can live longer, healthier when equal access to education, opportunity, job, and income is offered and provided!!
ReplyDeleteRight, opportunity will not be on silver platter/silver plate. People have to go and get it as you said in Interview. HOWEVER, ONLY THE RICH CAN ACCESS to JOB, INCOME, AND EDUCATION, NOT THE MIDDLE INCOME AND LOW INCOME PEOPLE. SO, access to opportunity depend on socioeconomic status--Can you make equal opportunity for all citizens in Myanmar--make foods, fruits, veggies, eateries, education, jobs, health care access, available to everyone SO NOT ONLY THE RICH CAN AFFORD IT BUT THOSE WHO ARE MIDDLE INCOME AND LOW INCOME CAN ALSO AFFORD IT. PLEASE HELP OUT MYANMAR.
ReplyDeleteWe have worked in Burma Health for quite long time and yet changes are not as Progressive as in Thai and Singapore because Burmese People have to come together to help each other out at the local level, at community level, and from then take up next step to organization level and public policy level. Daw Su Kyi CANNOT DO IT ALONE. SHE NEEDS ALL OF YOU TO HELP EACH OTHER OUT IN COMMUNITY LEVEL FOR EQUAL ACCESS TO INCOME, JOB, OPPORTUNITY. WHY? YOU ALL ARE BURMESE CITIZENS AFTER ALL AND YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE NEXT BURMESE FALLING APART IF THAT WERE YOUR BELOVED PARENTS OR SIBLINGS.
ReplyDeletewhat's going on in community affects individual so if you are selfish and do not wanna help out, when community population and the population at Myanmar country level are becoming unhealthy, you, your families, and the country itself get so weak and perish. community affects individuals!
