Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's First Speech in Bangkok, Thailand

On May 30, 2012, Aung San Suu Kyi visited Maha Chai, an area about 20 miles south of Bangkok that has a large population of Burmese Migrant Workers, approximately 200,000. Crowds of Burmese, some gripping "We want to go home", "We want to free from working as a slave" posters, greeted the democracy leader. "Don't feel down, or weak. History is always changing," "I don't want to give a promise easily. But, Today, I will make you one promise: I will try my best for you all" Daw Aung San Suu Kyi told the Crowds in Mahachai, Thailand. This is her first remarkable speech on her first oversea trip in 24 years.
